In the short 4 months of time that I had in San Diego, working with Dave was one of the best decisions I could have made.  I have had life long difficulties with my weight, which ultimately lead to joint issues in the knees and ankles.  I managed to lose quite a bit of weight on my own, but had stalled after having my last baby.  Dave got me back on the track to healthy weight loss.

During my time working out with Dave, I lost 35 pounds, 11% body fat, and over 7″ around my waist.  Before we began, Dave thoroughly reviewed my weight loss and fitness goals.  His willingness to come to me was invaluable since I have a preschooler and a baby.  Through consistent coaching and encouragement, I have been able to begin running.  I can now run a full 5K, which would have been impossible previously.

Dave’s use of technology, and the My Fitness Pal application really helped me stay on track and provided real time feedback every day.  I was able to reach him any time I had a question or frustration.  Dave’s encouragement and coaching in proper nutrition was a huge help, he is very knowledgeable on the subject.  It was also truly helpful that he never let a bad day derail the process.  He helped me acknowledge, and work around the occasional bad day, cheat, and disruption when I had to deal with holidays, crappy days, and travel.

I was very impressed with Dave’s instruction on foam rolling.  Daily rehab was incredibly important to maintaining the pace I needed to, in order to reach my fitness goals.  While the process was not always enjoyable, it was a huge help and has been incorporated in my daily routine.

I would absolutely recommend Dave to anyone looking for help or encouragement in weight loss or fitness.  I’m looking forward to my next long term assignment in San Diego so I can work out with Dave again.
